Walking on Mountain Ferru
Mountain Ferru is not so high mountain, but it's very interesting for its fauna and beautiful landscapes. Walking on Mountain Ferru can be a wonderful experience if you like the silence and stay in the Nature, with the wind that caress your face and birds-voice all around you. Walking through into his little Woods or in rough ills can be the occasion to see the moufflon, these fantastic mammals that live in Sardinia in small group. Here, if you're lucky, you can find them mostly in the early morning during the dawn, moment where is easier to see moufflons, maybe on a rock or near a wood. Today we've been very lucky beacause we've seen immediately in or path, but I can't take any pictures, but following the path we've found them one more time a little bit far, but not enough for taking a quite good picture like this:
where there were a Young male and some female, pehaps his harem.
But how I was talking about before of landscapes, in Mountain Ferru there are some Amazing place where to take some nice picture, as this little waterfall, Bia Joss. I already knew it, but this time I've been more lucky beacause there was more water in the river, creating a secondary waterfall like this:
with a lovely light.
This Sardinia area is quite big and I'd need more time to see everything, like the others waterfall and the many birds that lives here, but how Always I don't have so many time, so I hope to see something next time.

Simply owls - part 2
Today I came back to observe and photograph the owls and I think something has happened from the last observations: in practice, the three little ones we only saw two (I was with my friend Fabrizio). I honestly do not know the reason but could have been prey by other birds of prey. I am writing this because today adults have been alarmed when they see the buzz over their area, so that once they have just run away, while the other times only adults are left. If it really happened this unfortunately nothing can be done, it is the law of nature that serves to keep the entire ecosystem in balance.

Simply owls - part 3
After the Scotland I coudn't make the owls meet, infact I'm here!! This time I tried something new... but the result are very bad!!! Ahhh when one is in a hurry. I bought a trigger (Miops) for my camera, and this permit to use a laser like a sensor to catch something in fly, like a bird, or a owl .

Watching owls
The owls are always beautiful to watch and observe their behavior. The couple the I'm following is very active in these days because probably they're feeding their chicks, even if I didn't see anything, but I hope to see them very soon. Last year I photographed the youngs owl in july when they were quite big to eat alone a rat, so now it's early yet. This time I saw the male brought some locusts for the female and for the chicks, in fact the female has given the insect to their son under the stone. In Sardinia owl, in general, make their nest under a group of big stones, group created from man in order to sort out a field or for the crops, so it's easy for the little owls found a house, and for us photographers know where to find it.
